Ashcake Volunteer Rescue Squad strives to provide Hanover County with the very best in emergency services, and we’re eager to partner with our surrounding community to promote safety and awareness of the need for such. Whether by Facebook, LinkedIn, this website, or other means of connectivity, we hope to stay in touch and engaged with the individuals, neighborhoods, organizations, and businesses that we exist to support.

Founded in 1958, Ashcake Volunteer Rescue Squad enjoys a rich history and tradition of being connected with the citizens of Hanover County and being a central hub of the community.  In that respect, we host numerous civic groups, scout troops, support groups, church events, and training sessions for the Hanover community.  Our duty crews respond to numerous 911 calls each week, and  we enjoy a strong cooperative bond with the Hanover Fire-EMS Department.
